Valentía is a music video project shot for independent artist Gina Carolina, produced with a minimal budget and a reduced crew over the span of three days. As the Director of Photography, I led a small but efficient camera department, working with one Gaffer and one AC to execute the visual style effectively.
One of the biggest production challenges was the remote location, situated three hours from Guadalajara, Mexico, which limited crew size and resources. To adapt, we relied entirely on available light and used minimal, transportable diffusion and negative fills that my crew could efficiently manage. This approach allowed us to maintain a cinematic, high-quality aesthetic while staying within budget constraints.
